Step 1
Obtain Your Tap2Tip Card
Purchase a Tap2Tip™ Card from select retailers. This card is your key to receiving tips from patrons via NFC and QR technology.
Step 2
Download the Tap2Tip App
Download the Tap2Tip™ App from the Apple Store or Play Store on your mobile device. The APP is embedded within the SCOOD™ platform, offering a seamless experience.
Step 3
Register Your Account
- Open the Tap2Tip™ APP and select the "Tipped Create an Account" option.
- Follow the prompts to enter your basic details, including your Name, Surname, Email, Cell Phone.
Step 4:
Activate Your Card
- Open the Tap2Tip™ APP and select the "Tipped Create an Account" option.
- Follow the prompts to enter your basic details, including your Name, Surname, Email, Cell Phone.
Step 5
Receiving Tips
Present your Tap2Tip™ Card to patrons, who can tap their phone on your card or scan the QR code to tip you. Tips are processed securely and quickly.
Step 6
Manage Your Earnings
- Accumulate at least R100 in tips to be eligible for payout.
- Choose your payout option in the app: weekly payouts every Friday, daily payments (if your tips are above R100) or convert your earnings into vouchers for purchases at select retailers.

Fees and Charges
The following charges apply to Tippee accounts:
- Platform Fee (on all tips received) - 1.95% (equivalent to R0.40 per every R5 tip)
- EFT Withdrawal - Flat fee of R4.95
- PayShap Withdrawal - Flat fee of R7.00
- ATM Withdrawal - Tiered fee of R14.53 + R2.50 per additional R1,000.00, plus any applicable ATM fees
- Retailer Cash-Out - Same fee structure as ATM withdrawals
- Voucher Conversion - R5 + 2.5% of the value converted
- Instant Payments - Flat fee of R30.00
